The 80s - The Blob (1988) - Terror has no shape!

"The Blob" is a 1988 remake of the classic B movie from the 50s. A mysterious mass of goo crash lands in a small, quiet town. The blob eats it's way though town and gets bigger with every bite. It's up to two teens to stop it and save the town.

The movie stars Kevin Dillon ("Entourage"), Shawnee Smith ("Summer School", "Saw" movies) and Candy Clark ("American Graffiti").

The movie was directed by Chuck Russell who also directed "A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors", and went on to direct big mainstream fare like "The Mask" and "Eraser".

Thanks for doing this thread. I appreciate the original better, like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, but like Invasion, this remake is absolutely brilliant and worth not only seeing, but owning.

I like the original, but I've only seen it once.

I like how this movie has that 50s B movie feel but wrapped up in the 80s.
