Better Off Dead(1985) - "Two Dollars!!!"

"Better Off Dead" is a hysterical, underrated comedy starring John Cusack as Lane Meyer, a suicidal teen who thinks his life is over when his girlfriend dumps him. He then meets and falls for a french foreign exchange student staying across the street. Unfortunately, her host family's son Ricky is being set up as her new beau as well.

The movie also stars Curtis Armstrong ("Revenge Of The Nerds"), Dan Schneider ("Head Of The Class"), Amanda Wyss ("Fast Times At Ridgemont High", "A Nightmare On Elm Street"), Diane Franklin ("The Last American Virgin"), David Ogden Stiers ("M*A*S*H*"), and Vincent Schiavelli ("Fast Times At Ridgemont High").

Ricky is hilarious. Lol. I love it when the mom is introducing Monique to him and he just comes to the doorway, doesn't say anything, and then just moves on. Lol. Or the picture he gave her of himself on Christmas!!!. I'm laughing just thinking about it.

I love this movie. Probably my favorite 80's movie. I remember I first saw it because my brother had it on VHS. I ended up taking it and I never gave it back to him. I made one of my friends watch it a few weeks ago because they had never seen it. Such a funny movie.

That was so funny.

Something that I thought was funny (and icky) was the green goo that Lane's mom served at breakfast or dinner and it crawling off his plate. It's funny that all of her stuff turns out like green and weird like that. :lol;
