I didn't really like Teen Wolf...I just didn't get it.

Most of the movies that I love from the 80s are the real crappily made ones...that are super cheesy.

I liked Teen Wolf a lot, but the second one, with Jason Bateman, was really bad.

Oh I agree with that, Barry.

M&M - Oh, but the 80's can be cheesy, so nothing wrong with that.

This is the same for me... almost. When I was little I liked the movie, but a few weeks ago when I watched it, I was bored with it and couldn't wait for it to be over.

Nope, nothing wrong with being cheesy. Sometimes those are the best ones.

Yes, indeed. That's what I love about the 80's.

"St. Elmo's Fire"

Oh, I also found "Goonies" and "Dirty Dancing" to be overrated.

I'll just pretend I didn't hear that about "The Goonies" and everything will be okay.

There are a lot of overrated movies that probably hold a special place in my memory more because of nostalgia and the fact that I watched them when I was little than because they are quality or have a good plot/characterization, but the one famous movie I absolute HATE from the eighties is Porky's.

Flashdance also did little for me - the romance, at least, but it could be for the very shallow reason that I always found the male lead unattractive.

I have not seen Porky's.

I mainly like Flashdance for the music.
