You can't. It's too fun. The 80s was the golden era for horror/slashers.

absolutely. The demonic and scary horror movies existed more in the 60s and 70s, but the 80s allowed for gore and effects to run wild!

The demonic ones from the 70s and before that I was referencing were the horror big shots like Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Omen and The Amityville Horror. Those 4 are some of the best and highest rated horror movies of all time.

When I think quality horror films that are actually accepted by the mainstream as classic and good movies you have the following: Nosferatu, Psycho, The Birds, Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Omen, Jaws, Alien, The Silence of the Lambs, Pan's Labyrinth (though some debate it's not horror but is fantasy horror). (the Amityville horror is a classic and is loved but not as universally as those i listed)
