The poster for "Sleepaway Camp" is so classically cheesy. I never saw it, but I bet it's some kind of camp classic (heh, no pun intended).
I'm kinda glad Chucky isn't in the OP. Would've freaked me the hell out. Anyway, I saw "Howard the Duck" for the first time in decades. I wanted to see what could have scared me so much when I was 5 or 6. Just remembered this man being kind of possessed/electrocuted in the climax, and boy does it all make sense. I don't know what kid could sit through that without getting nightmares! I was also surprised to see that the man in question was played by Jeffrey Jones, aka Ed Rooney from "Ferris Bueller" and the guy in "Beetlejuice" and everything else. Been watching this actor my whole life, thinking nothing but warm, fuzzy, comedic thoughts about him. Never would've guessed his on-screen demonic possession had scarred me in my youth, lol. The things you grow up and find out ... __________________

I love the poster for "Sleepaway Camp". 80s horror movie posters in particular. They were creative and cool and visionary. Movie posters in general back then were so iconic and cool. Nowadays, like most movies themselves, posters are pretty generic.
Jeffrey Jones possessed in "Howard The Duck" was pretty freaky. Haven't seen it in years. __________________

I got it a few years ago. Haven't watched it yet. It got such a bad rep, but it was cheap. Lol. What the heck.

Holly Robinson was one of her band mates too.

It really is a bad movie , not even so bad it's good. But I'm sure when I was a kid I thought Howard was hilarious (if also a little freaky).

It is bad, but I found it to be more watchable now than I had originally thought it would be.

Including, I bet, the 'near sex scene' between Howard and Lea Thompson's character.

It got my attention, lol. Mostly, how unrealistic it was that it was the girl's idea and not that of the alien, walking/talking duck. Not that I'm expecting realism to begin with here, but in a world where Howard would exist ...
There was a lot of adult innuendo that went right over my head as a child. __________________
