I am surprised there aren't more horror films on or about 4th of July. Every other holiday seems to have one. There was one in the 90's though called "Uncle Sam".

Does anyone remember what the first horror film they saw was?

Sleepaway Camp 2 - I saw it at a sleepver party.

That's cool. I wish I knew mine but it is hard to pinpoint. It was early 80's though. It could of been 'Halloween' or one of the sequels or F13.

You saw so many. It's hard to know your first.

It's easy for me since I rarely saw any back then.

Plus, my parents (well, my dad) were pretty lenient with this stuff. He had fun with it almost as much I did! He still does. To this day, he will still ask me what that movie was where you could see a hand in the corner of the picture squirting ketchup from a bottle on the wall to be blood splatter. Lol. That and other things.

I watched one last night that I have not seen before called "Dead & Buried" from 1981. I've always heard of it though. Anyways, strangers to this little town are welcomed in and then brutally murdered by the townspeople. The local sheriff is trying to figure out what is going on with these killings and we come to find that the townspeople are resurrected dead. The coolest part? A young Robert Englund was in this. The grandpa from "Willy Wonka" was the town mortician/bad guy.

It sounds good.

Is there a horror movie from this decade that you don't like?

The "Elm Street" remake for sure. I haven't seen as many of them. Back in the day, I watched everything. Nowadays, I basically stick with what I know I would probably like.

What was wrong with it?

Everything. Lol. Horrible script, bad FX/make-up, stupid mystery aspect that went nowhere, unimaginative, etc.

Otherwise, as for this decade, I like the big franchises that are going on with "The Conjuring", "Insidious" and all those. "Lights Out" was also a good one I thought.

I haven't seen.

You should check them out. They are really good and really creepy.
