I don't remember a Roy Rogers place but wasn't there a "Roy Rogers" drink? Maybe I'm thinking of Shirley Temple.

Oh I love that!

You know, I have thought about this for a few years now. It is kind of sad how places like McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, etc. all used to have their own unique character and style. Now, they all look the same and are very generic and sterile. You don't even see Ronald McDonald anymore.

I remember McDonalds had the playground outside with those McDonaldland characters to play on. And inside they had a mural of all the characters and cheeseburger stools to sit on! It was a lot more visually interesting!

And I remember that article about how Pizza Hut used to look too. Low lit, candles, red checked placemats, etc.

Yes, I remember all those as well. It isn't just the fast food places either it's other restaurants. Places that used to have so much decoration and stuff on the walls have now either taken them all down or scaled back. It's like everyone is afraid nowadays to have creativity or a personality. "Neautral" seems to be the thing in this boring age and everybody figures they have to do the same.
