The Invasion is such an awesome story. Everytime I'm near St Pauls I see those cybermen in my mind's eye!

I feel the 60's had the best Cybermen stories: The Tenth Planet, The Moonbase, Tomb Of The Cybermen & The Invasion. Having not seen The Wheel In Space, I can't speak for it.

I agree! I would never want to run into a Cyberman in real life.

I love Tomb of The Cyberman. I remember when I was young I was desperate to watch it, and thinking I never would, it was amazing when I heard the story had been found!

Was the story missing at one point?

Oh yes, most of them were lost from the 1960s. Tomb was the one I wanted the most, and then it was found. Then I really wanted to see Web of Fear, and most of that was found recently which is awesome, so now I'm hoping for Fury From the Deep... :D

Eta: Just looked it up Tomb was found in 1991.

Well, they feature the Cybermen, so in a way, yes. But there are also other factors such as the writing. The Invasion is 8 episodes long, but has the pace of 4 episodes. Something happens half way through the story, that changes the style of the story.

I'm glad to see The Cybermen back for New Who. S10 really reeled me in on them.

I didn't care for them so much before but that has changed for me now. :)

I think to bring back old villains, they need to find a way to make them scarier.

If they stay the same, they lose that fear factor.
