The Doctor and Rose was my first ship outside of Harry Potter. I later came to feel otherwise, that a Time Lord in his right mind would not socialise with a human girl on such an intimate level, but then this is the Doctor we are talking about.One could argue the events of the War left him more vulnearable than usual and the regeneration didn't help. Bt I am glad he had someone there with him in those turbulent early days following the War when he thought he was the last survivor left. So I can see why this couple has grabbed the hearts of so many fans around the world.
