I think Rory wanted to come and kind of invited himself along. I don't think it was Amy's idea for him to be there but I don't think she necessarily minded that he was there.

I think Eleven made Rory come because Amy kissed him so he came to Rory's stag do to invite him. I can't remember anymore if Rory found out Amy kissed Eleven.

Let's just say, I was happy that the bizarre Amy/Doctor kiss was never mentioned again after the episode above


It was just so odd and not necessary at all. I understood the fact that she hero-worshipped him and therefore THOUGHT she liked him (later realizing she doesn't in that way), but that was just a really needless moment in the show.


The doctor was basically like an Uncle to her. I wouldn't say father figure, just a good buddy who she looked up to and protected her as a child.


The only reason she kissed the Doctor (other than hero-worship) was last minute jitters over her impending marriage.

Me too and it's absolutely heartbreaking that she literally disappears from Amy's arms just minutes later. Any parent's worst nightmare.

I agree with all of this. Also in S6 (my memory is fuzzy so this might be wrong), there was this episode where Amy is in an ear piece, I'm forgetting the ep title but it was the one with the Silence. She was talking about how a man dropped in the sky and later on when Rory brought it up she said figure of speech. I just hate that they're still trying to make it about her crush on the Doctor when she's clearly married by this time.

^ yep she did feel something for the Doctor but i felt she was young so it was a crush . but that was also the episode when she said she loves rory..are you talking about when they go to that freaky school?
