Well, the Doctor certainly did make an impression on her, enough that she went from killing him to saving his life. And she realized that the Doctor knew a lot more about her than she did about him, she probably got the impression he knew everything about her.
But, I must admit after seeing Closing Time tonight, I'm not sure where the show is going this season. There are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied next week, and I'm a bit worried that it's not all going to fit together well in the end. __________________

Poor episode IMO. They tried too hard to fit too much into it. They were trying to tell a WW2 story, a River Song story and a Spaceship story and did none of them well. The episode was called Let's Kill Hitler. Hitler appeared for two minutes before being locked in a cupboard, never to be mentioned again. Very wierd episode. Wish they'd concentrated on WW2, rather then faffing about with various stories irelivant to the the title of the episode.

The title was obviously there to get people's attention, and turned out to be a quote from Melody early in the ep. But DW was treading pretty dangerous territory featuring Hitler at all, and I think this ep had just the right amount of Hitler for my taste. Most of the ep took place in Berlin in Hitler's era though, even if Hitler was locked in the closet most of the time.
I was actually surprised that Hitler was featured at all in this ep. When I first heard the title, I thought it referred to the classic time traveler's dilemma - if you went back in time met Hitler when he was younger, before he did all the terrible things he did later in life, would you kill him to prevent it all from happening? Melody was obviously aware of this time travel cliche as well, which was why she so randomly suggested it. The surprising part is that they took it so literally and actually followed Melody's suggestion to visit an earlier version of Hitler. Had he actually been killed, that would have caused a huge paradox, the Doctor would not have allowed that. __________________

Well thats very much like the dilemma The Doctor faced in Genesis of the Daleks- in fact he directly referenced that analogy. I do disagree slightly with you on the amount of time Hitler was on screen- I think if your going to name the episode Lets Kill Hitler and take it literally then the writers should have committed themselves into making it about that story. If they didn't want to feature him, don't call the episode Lets Kill Hitler, or at least don't take it so literally. They didn't really do one thing nor the other and kinda fudged the whole episode imo.

While this episode might not have had the best story, it really had some great quotes.
Plus, I might be biased but Alex was great in it, I think she had some really fun scenes __________________
