Doctor Who Original Soundtracks by Murray Gold Discussion #1
  I'm surely not alone when I say that I absolutely love the music on this show, created by the wonderful Murray Gold. Here you can discuss both the soundtracks that have been released so far  The official soundtrack for season 3 came out today, have any of you heard it yet? If so, what do you think? Tracks you like, tracks you don't like? Tracks you wish would've been on it? I'm still taking it all in, but I can already say that This is Gallifrey: Our Childhood, our Home is my absolute favourite  it gives me chills, it's so beautiful!__________________

I haven't got the Soundtrack, yet.
But what I did hear of the This is Gallifrey: Our Childhood, our Home in the series, I loved it, very beautiful. __________________

I've got the first soundtrack, it came with a free badge which I then lost on the tube!
Anyhow, the music is definitely great, on the first soundtrack a lot of the music has echoes of Rose's Theme, which ties it all together really nicely! Also, Song For Ten is great, a good song even if you don't watch Who at all I think! __________________

Wow, so I got hold of the soundtrack, and I love it, I still love the Gallifrey one so much, I've listened to it repeatedly, it's my favourite.
I also love The Doctor Forever, and I've been listening to My Angel put the Devil in Me repeatedly, I think it's the cheesiness of it, they all have thier own merits though. The problem with soundtracks is I automatically try to work out where in the series it took place, scarily it doesn't take me long.  __________________

I just read that they were changing the theme tune for VoTD, I'm sure it's good as it's Murray Gold, but I kinda love it as it is.

yeah, I heard about that too. The BBC is changing the way they do their show credits (or something like that) so they had to revamp the theme tune a bit. I'm also a bit wary, I love it beyond reason as it is now, I'm scared the new version won't be as good. But of course, deep down, I have no doubt that it'll be amazing and we'll probably all love it even more, once we've gotten over the initial shock

Despite how much I loathed it when I first heard it, the tune has grown on me, I still want it to be changed back though.

I'm kind of neutral about it now when I listen to it, but I still REALLY prefer the old one. If they're keeping this one I won't end up crying every week (though maybe the first time I'll have to choke back tears
) but I still won't like it very much  __________________

I'm disappointed that the piece of music from when the Doctor turned into tinkerbell wasn't on the new soundtrack, it was starting to overtake the Doomsday theme as my favourite track ever.

 I am absolutely in love with "The song of freedom" __________________

Yep there's songs from Proms PM me if you can't find it.
I love it all. I've also got some other concert I never heard before, and I LOVE it. I'm also digging the TW soundtrack as well. Nicole __________________

Looking at the covers of the soundtracks I never understood why I have one (the first one) without Rose on the cover
The CiN one is brilliant! I did not listen to it until last night. David is so great  I love when he talks about the monsters and says "Hairy scary" __________________
