I think that Billie will be more of a Classic Companion. Clara was in her own category, different from a regular friend or love interest or family or companion.

I think she will definitely have no romantic interest in the Doctor. I remember reading an interview where Peter mentioned not wanting any romantic SL for the Doctor and his companion, at least for 12's era.

Exactly. When they made her like the Doctor I was like "not again" after that whole thing with Rose. I didn't think it was necessary and that's why I enjoyed it a lot when Donna came because FINALLY someone who didn't have a crush on the Doctor.
I do think there will be comparisons to Bill & Clara as they are 12's companions. __________________

I do want Peter to stay on for another year. I know there's a lot of talk about him possibly leaving the show which I have chosen to ignore.
 I think that's because S4 was the first DW series I watched so I was seeing the Doctor in the eyes of Donna and have grown fond of that dynamic. __________________

I started watching Doctor Who with the Rose episode but first discovered the show when I was at the public library and saw several books with Martha on the cover. So Rose was my first companion while Martha was my introduction.
