Sarah, as you live in the UK, are you familiar with Pearl or have seen her in a musical?

Oh yeah, I heard about that. They had a picture together and people were speculating big time that she was the companion because of that.

No, I didn't know who she was until they introduced in the teaser, which I didn't watch on tv cos it was on half-time during a football match and I'm not interested in football to watch just so I could see the teaser.

I knew about him going to see Pearl after she was announced as the new companion.

It is. I remember last time Peter was announced (I wasn't watching DW yet that time), it was all over my twitter timeline.

I hope she is not a modern-day girl. We need a companion at least from a different time if not place than most of the modern girls have been.

Some people think she might be from the eighties, going by her outfit. I'd be happy with someone from the recent past.

I agree that it would make a nice change if the companion isn't from present day Earth.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but I did see Peter get announced as the new Doctor.
