Plot

Friggin' Christmas follows Boyd Mitchler (McHale) and his wife Luann (Lauren Graham) as they spend a dreaded Christmas with Boyd’s father Mitch (Williams) and his family of misfits. Upon realizing that he has left all of his son’s gifts at home, Boyd hits the road with his father and younger brother in an attempt to make the eight-hour round trip before sunrise.

I have high hopes about the movie being funny since the director has background in Community, Parks and Rec and Veep, all the shows I love. I hope that means that the movie will be "smart" funny and not "fart" funny.lol

I think judging by the plot Lauren's role will only be minor but we've to take what we'll get. And I hope Robin Williams isn't over the top "funny", I can't stand him when he's on a roll. Also I might hope for shirtless Joel McHale.

I can't believe that there isn't anything coming up at IMDb other than it is in development if it is going to be filming next month. I hope more info comes soon. Also hope that this one hits the movie theaters.

Uh oh . . . three shows I don't like, especially Veep. Not sounding promising for me, although I will watch any movie with LG in it.

I think at the most we'll see Lauren at the start and end with maybe a phone call to check in while they are on the road. Still it's better than nothing and something to look forward to in December.

So Lauren had her book to promote and now a new movie... can't wait for some talk shows in the coming months. To top it off having PH renewed would be fantastic

I'm with you there. Tried all three shows and didn't get the hype at all.

Of course I will see it but I'm going with the 'expect nothing and you can't be disappointed' line of thinking on this one.

Same here, Bev. I don't watch those shows either but I, too, will watch anything with Lauren in it MANY times.

Not expecting a lot of scenes with her either. If I am reading it right, she will be left alone with the rest of the family so maybe we will get some scenes with her trying to cope with that situation.

I'm a huge Community fan, not watched the others. Parenthood is a great show, but no Gilmore Girls, Bunheads is also fun if you can get past some of the former GG stars acting just as they did before. Maybe ASP has a one track mind?
