Jeanne Tripplehorn is Part of The Moguls Source: The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday, May 11, 2004

The Hollywood Reporter says that Jeanne Tripplehorn has signed to play opposite Jeff Bridges in the independent feature The Moguls.

Talks are under way with a raft of players to round out the ensemble film, including Tim Blake Nelson, Jennifer Coolidge, Isaiah Washington, Glenne Headly, Joe Pantoliano and Lauren Graham.

Michael Traeger is directing the film about a man (Bridges) who comes up with a scheme to cast all of his friends in a porn movie.

Hmm-- that sounds like an interesting movie -- I hope she does it. (Haven't I read that Lauren has a bit of a crush on Jeff Bridges?? If so, that could be a pretty big incentive..)

First time poster here, by the way. Just wanted to thank all you guys for keeping the Lauren news coming and maintaining such a great board!!

An indie about porn...how novel. If Lauren thinks it'll be good then I'm sure she'll be good in it. Jennifer Coolidge and Lauren improvising in a movie together could be the funniest thing ever. Thanks for the news Brielle!

Hi John! It's extremely nice to see a new poster around here, especially a male one. I know Lauren has more male fans than are represented on this board. Thanks for appreciating the news. Hope you post often!

Oh, she did mention once in an interview that she liked rugged men like Jeff Bridges who look like they can ride a horse. Then TV Guide channel took that and ran and asked her in a sit down interview if she was dating Jeff Bridges. She sarcastically replied, "Yes, Jeff Bridges and I have been together for...WHAT?! He's married! I've never even met him, so I don't know how that even came up." Well, obviously it was the rugged men comment.

Hey, thanks for the welcome, A.B. Normal , I'm happy to add to the male contingency. And, by the way, I totally agree that Lauren and Jennifer Coolidge together in a movie could reach new heights in hilarity. Just imagine the field day of funny voices.

Cher, Jennifer Coolidge was particularly funny in Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, in which she did one of the funniest accents I've ever heard. Those were the movies I was thinking of when I mentioned she would be a funny co-star for LG. I think she may have also been in one of the Legally Blonde movies. Thanks for the welcome, by the way!!

Lauren will be doing commentary for an episode of Bravo's new 5-episode series entitled TV Revolution. According to the website, she will be featured in the second episode of the series, to air May 23, 2004, at 10 p.m. EST.

Lauren commenting on the Bravo show

From an article about that Bravo special:

There's Lauren Graham ("Gilmore Girls"), for instance, reflecting that Lucy and Ethel "were like Thelma and Louise without their licenses - but they took the car anyway," or "Xena" writer Liz Friedman suggesting that, if the warrior princess ever ran across the "Sex and the City" quartet, she'd like Miranda, bed Samantha, slap some sense into Charlotte and find Carrie funny, "but not as funny as Carrie thinks she is."

Bravo Special

Sounds like an interesting program. I wonder if we will see clips from GG and hear Lauren's comments about it.

Thanks for that Curly! Lucy and Ethel "were like Thelma and Louise without their licenses..." I can't wait to hear her comments. I've always been surprised she never showed up to tell jokes on I Love the 80's or I love the 70's. She should have been on the show that featured David Cassidy.

I saw a commercial on Bravo for the poker showdown last night. The ending had a clip of Lauren saying something like "You know what? I'm betting all of it!" and then I'm pretty sure they edited (he's not in Lauren's episode) in a shot of Penn or Teller (the tall magician) shouting "YOU FOOL!"
