Two girls were watching Seinfeld in class today (loving the invention of the iPAD there), and all of a sudden one of them stops and goes 'LORELAI GILMORE!' They then proceeded to have a twenty minute discussion on her pre-Gilmore hair. These crazy college students :D

I couldn't stop laughing. Couldn't help posting it, wanted to share the sentiment :)

Last night the two middle eps of NewRadio that Lauren was in was on tv. Since I missed the first one last Sunday, I deceided to watch all 4 eps on DVD. I then watched the commentary for the eps (which I guess I had never watched before) and was so shocked. Not only were they the worst commentaries that I have ever watched, but I couldn't believe that every one apparently hated it that Lauren was going to be on the show. Part of it was that they didn't want any one added to the cast and part was because the women on the show felt threatened by Lauren because she was so pretty (Have to agree with that part :) ). I guess that once she was there and they got to know her and enjoyed working with her, they were okay with it. I wonder if Lauren ever knew about this and how did they all treat her that first day on set? I guess, and am not surprised, that Lauren really hated the scene at the end of the arc where Matthew jumps up on the piano and throws the cup of coffee on her, especially since they had to do it several times. I didn't really catch much else of interest regarding Lauren because they were so bad to watch and wasn't really paying that much attention to them or was spending most of the time yelling at them. The people didn't even know much about the eps or how many eps Lauren was even in. Some were sayng 6 and then someone else came on and said that there were only 3. Yep, have to say that these were the absolute worst commentaries EVER. I am surprised that they weren't made to do them over. The only good and interesting thing that they said was how pretty Lauren was (is) and how talented she is. Oh, and they guys really liked her blue outfit in the first ep.

Sarah, I remember hearing some of it but didn´t remember the details, that´s why I asked you about the commentaries last month. I guess you didn´t see my post.lol either way, I´m glad you listened to it and shared it with us.
I know that Lauren was supposed to be a new fulltime addition to the cast but apparently it didn´t test well, so that´s why only 4 episodes.
I´m glad the cast at least liked Lauren when they actually met her. Lauren said several times that the NewsRadio was her favorite show to work on prior GG. Wonder if the cast knew that Lauren actually tested to be the Maura´s character on the show.lol

Never knew NR had commentary on the DVDs.

It's not unusual for cast on shows to be protective when they bring in someone knew after several season but I'm sure they grow to like her. As for Lauren taking over from Maura in PH well that was different because she could no longer do the part, I'm glade they bonded on PH and accepted Lauren playing Sarah.

I just got a copy from the US, arrived Friday, haven't watched it yet. It's set aside for tonight when the kids are in bed and the other half has gone to work.

One of the movies I can't find is Confessions of a Sexist Pig/Taste of Love from 98. Managed to get most of the other earlier ones (missing Gnome and The Life Coach). Can't find Eps 1/7/8 of Conrad Bloom either (got the others from Lauren Online) - not sure if it even aired here in Australia.

Conrad Bloom might have aired here, probably either late night or on PayTV at some point. I'd really like it if some of the old movies would be on again.

Had PayTV for 6 months, never again. I rely on the internet for the US talkshows that we don't get.

Think I found a copy of The Life Coach, just waiting for a friend to get back to me, although the bits I have seen look bizarre, lol.

Not sure if the whole dvd is worth it. Lauren is in only for a few minutes. Although the tap dance scene is priceless.lol

I´ve never seen the Confession either but the short clip of Lauren´s scenes I saw was sure enough.lol

You´ve never seen Gnome? it´s only 15min long. I´m sure we could upload it for you. It was on youtube for a long time but I can´t seem to find it now.

I think Gnome was legally on YouTube at one point, but I just did a quick search and couldn't find it.

OT - I've have PayTV for years and love it, much better than most stuff on FTA. Wish it was cheaper and with Foxtel taking over Austar might fix that, a little.
