Lauren The Early Years #5 - "Graham is a real discovery"

Does the download for NewsRadio 4.04 stop for somebody else at 14.1 MB, too? It always does for me

Yay new thread, I'd die if we had behind the scene stuff from Townies, it's probably locked away in the vaults at ET or something for Lauren's THS

Thanks for the update guys I'll try for the missing eps later today.

Danke 06-11-2011 03:31 PM

Thank you for opening the thread, Kathrin:) I like the title. Not sure about the download since I dled all my stuff years ago.

Copop 06-11-2011 03:48 PM

Yeah, I have it all, too, but Valentine and Ele exchanged the 'old' episodes with higher quality ones.
I'll just try again tomorrow :)

I also thought the title fits very well. Good thing you found the quote ;)

Watching Townies reminds me of when Lorelai helped out Luke in the diner :)

Also love the end of ep13 that has the on location stills of the cast, didn't they shoot them around the time they made the pilot?

and I wish we could see this

The two episodes previewed give no suggestion that "Townies," as yet, knows where it's going. In fact, a promo for the show, in which Livingston's Kurt tricks the three actresses into dressing and talking seductively, is funnier than the show itself.
For "Townies" to succeed, Ringwald or no Ringwald, it has to become funnier than its promos.

aww me too! lol imagine how funny that is.
I got past my laziness and just started downloading Townies.

And I rewatched Conrad Bloom. I like that very much actually :D

M.Y.O.B... where there only 4 aired episodes before Lauren snagged Gilmore girls?

CaDianaNy 06-12-2011 02:34 PM

I read that were 7 episodes of m.Y.O.B. 4 aired and 3 unaired. Can I watch somewere this 3 unaired episodes?

Not to my knowledge.

Oh, if only! I really liked MYOB.

I think there were some unaired eps of Conrad Bloom also.

I think it was more of a case that only 4 eps aired before it was cancelled, allowing Lauren to do GG.

I wish Townies could have lasted a little longer but then Lauren may not have had a chance to play the role that made her famous.

Oh that's a pity.I'll really wanna see that.I love M.Y.O.B. but I'm also glad that I didn't work out because we wouldnt have Gilmore Girls or we would have Gilmore Girls without Laoure so it wouldn't be that great.

They said in the GG book that there wouldn´t be Gilmore girls without Lauren. Either they got Lauren or nothing. It surprised me. And yes, I would like to see the rest of the MYOB episodes, too.

I guess this is the right place to ask...what was that movie with the actor guy named Casper something?

I can't remember but want to try and find 'some way to watch it'.

It´s quite a cheesy movie but cute and Lauren is in it all the time so I think it´s worth seeing it:) Also you will have one song stuck in your head for days after you finnish.lol You can find some cheap copies on eBay.

Copop 09-30-2011 03:19 AM

Aw, Chasing Destiny, I love that movie.
It's cheesy and all, but it's cute and has so much Lauren in it :D
Definitely worth seeing :)

Sophiejune 09-30-2011 07:25 AM

I have it... and break it out to watch it every now and then.. I love it. And yes the song "Jesse" gets stuck in your head. And it is so hard to believe that the guy that plays Nehemiah is Roger Daltrey the lead singer of The Who.

SarahJ5941 09-30-2011 10:40 AM

Thanks, gals for putting the song in my head! haha Love it so it is okay.

Cheesy, yes, but I really like it and pull it out once every month or two to watch it. Soooo much Lauren so that in it self is a major plus.

I watched Lauren in NewsRadio today. I think I watched the whole episodes only for the second time ever. It upsets me that they make her character crazy at the end.lol

The sitcom screams 90s, the fashion, the everything.lol

lol I just remember some very short skirts in that....and thinking that she was way taller than everyone else.

yes, that´s what I noticed, too! Also that her legs were nicely toned:D

SarahJ5941 03-21-2012 09:57 AM

Yeah, she was a bit crazy at the end :) but then, she was ditzy or crazy in most of her early guest appearances. I have been waiting for her NewsRadio eps to come on TV but the show isn't shown as much as it used to be. I guess I will just have to pull out the DVDs to watch them again. Maybe even make it a marathon along with the CitC eps. Couldn't tell you how many times I have watched them already.

Liked the light blue skirt and sweater.

Danke 03-21-2012 10:00 AM

Sarah - they mention Lauren in one of the DVD commentaries, right? Do you remember what they said?

SarahJ5941 03-22-2012 02:53 PM

I haven't watched the commentaries in a while and don't remember which one it was or what they said. I guess I will have to go back when I get a chance and watch them. Sorry I can't help right now.
