I'm still really really excited about this Like bouncy. She's been saying how she wants to get back to the theater, and here she is!

I'm just really excited about the prospect of seeing her perform live. Because I'm definitely going. I already told my mom, haha.

But if lots of people are seriously wanting to go, we should definitely plan something through FF so we can all meet up

Thanks Shannon for the new thread. Well she chose a great musical to make her Broadway debut in. A few people have questioned why she's going for the role of Miss Adelaide over Sarah, etc. Miss Adelaide would definitely suit her voice more.

If I get to see this, it'll be the year of G&D for me. Since I'm reseeing the Aussie one a month later.

This is so exciting! I've got to figure out how to get to NYC during the spring. Hmm...

I'm trying to imagine Lauren putting on the squeaky Adelaide voice. I'm sure she'll rock it, but I probably won't be able to picture it until I hear it.

She's done squeakiness before on GG with her imitations, so it shouldn't be a problem. Some of the dance sequences might be challenging (not as challenging as if she was playing Sarah though - the Havana sequence always gets me).

Personally out of all the songs in the production, I'm more curious to see how she does Adelaide's Lament, since it's a song where her character is the only person on stage at the time, unlike the club scenes where she's surrounded by others, etc.

Sorry having a major flashback to the Aussie production, might have to go and listen to it again.

Wow, this is exciting news! Congrats to Lauren! I must say I'm not really familiar with this musical but I've looked up videos on YouTube and it seems like a fun show. I wish I could go and watch Lauren. Why can't I live closer to NYC!? hehe

Bit of a bummer for me sayin as i live in Ireland. Im going to try so hard to go.

It should be no problem for our Lauren. I mean seriously if she can pull of Louis armstrong she can pull of anything.
