actors or journalists who post pictures on their public twitter accounts are not considered private. If their account was locked, then it would be different.

With different scenes in Parenthood, do you get to see each other much on set?
Peter: There was a time when Lauren's character, Sarah, came to work at Adam's office, so then we were working more of the same schedule. It just depends on how the scenes break down.

Peter, you're well-known from your Six Feet Under days. How do fans react to you on the street?
It depends on who the person is. There are obviously people who are big fans of Six Feet Under, and I'm always kind of surprised. There are some really rabid Dirty Sexy Money fans who are deeply hurt that the show was taken off air. What's interesting to me is that [Parenthood] has had the greatest response of any show I've done. I think it's because it's [easy to relate to]; anybody who has kids or is even part of a family responds to the show.

What about for you, Lauren? What's your experience with fans now?
Lauren: It's definitely changed. I think this is the first time I've been on something my peers and family would watch! With Gilmore Girls, I heard mostly from girls. I've been followed and stalked by many young girls in department stores and restaurants! It's just like a bizarre group of fans who will follow you around and giggle.

P: There was something this winter. We were skiing and this woman saw Lauren and said, "Oh, my girls [are] going to freak out when they meet you." I looked outside a little while later [and] these two girls skied in. They were 11 or 12. The looks on their faces were like something I'd never seen before in my life. They were just frozen. It was like [Lauren was] a long-lost aunt or something.
