Lauren may still have family in Japan. That's where her grandparents were missionaries. I believe that Lauren and her mom lived there while her dad was in the navy.

With HDYTYA? they check out a number of people to see if their story is interesting, that don't even get shown on TV, well at least that's how the UK version does it. I've wanted Lauren to do this since hearing NBC had the US rights, I really hope she is doing it or does get asked one day.
