What Idol song are you currently listening to?

I find that if I'm on my comp, 99% of the time I'm listening to an Idol-related song or Glen Phillips.

Currently I'm on "No One Else on Earth" by Jennifer Hudson (AI3 Country night).

Out of her depth, my ass, Simon!

I love J.Hud. Not in that way, of course, but y'know.

"Could Not Ask For More," Clay Aiken.

"Amazed" - Matt Rogers (performance show).

I've got on a playlist of AI3 week by week through Barry Manilow, which is why I've had on a bunch of the country songs.

And now it's switched to Amy's "Dancing in the Streets," from Motown week, because I have them grouped by week and then alphabetically, not in the order they were performed.

I'm playing my Clelliana playlist, but somehow I always land on a Clay song when I get here. "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch."

Jennifer's "Heatwave." I would make a Jennifer CD, but there aren't enough songs.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those threads we burn through rather quickly while accomplishing not much more than adding to our post counts.

Does Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" count? Cause it's on a loop. Again.

Okay, now I've changed it: now it's Diana DeGarmo's finale performance of "I Believe". She sounds awesome.

"Breakaway" sure does count. I was thinking anything from an Idol contestant, on the show or off.

The finale version of IB kicks my ass. As my av might suggest.

Heh. I'm almost always on a Jennifer song when I'm in this thread. Now it's "Circle of Life." Hey, wait! My download must not have completed, because the last quarter of it was cut off! Damn it.

"A Broken Wing," Diana DeGarmo.

Aww, suddenly I wanna play my J.Hud songs again. "Weekend in New England" was stuck in my head all day, and I haven't even listened to it for two days.

Since you mentioned it, NYC, I had the urge to listen to Huff's "Take Me To The Pilot". He really was incredible in the first couple of weeks, and yes, this is song is catchiness to the extreme.

Oh, wait. Now it's Diana's "I Heard It Through The Grapevine".

"I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again" - Jasmine.

Dear God, make it STOP! And to think I thought this was one of the top 3 when the ep first aired. Well, hey, at least she hit that big last note.

Heh, I'm on "Weekend in New England" now. J.Hud wuz robbed! I'm lodging a retroactive protest! I always think of Friends when I listen to this performance. Poor Duck is dead now. Like Jazzy's voice.

Clay, yet again. "This Is The Night," Finals peformance.

I kinda like Jasmine's "I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again." Maybe not Top Three material, but it was nice. Though the way she performed it was kinda weird, when she suddenly cut a note to grab a mic and walk in front of the stand. I was like, WTF?!

"Dreams." Diana. Single version. Yay!

TII! Oh, flashbacks of The Dress.

I should specify that I meant IKINLTWA was one of the best three of that particular night, along with Di and Jen. But it seemed kind of flat in a lot of places listening to it just now. Her higher notes were good, though.

Now it's NMT.

"I Believe," Single Version. Diana's.

And, ergo, 2:44!

And yes, I knew what you meant.

Just making sure.

Heh. Someone was asking on IF where the octave jump was, and I had to refer to it as "The 2:44."

If I ever meet Diana, my first question (you know, after I pass out or maul her) would be, "Do you know your octave jump on 'I Believe' at two minutes and forty-four seconds has a cult following of horny message board posters? I'm one of them, and it makes me absolutely wet. Do it for me now, please?" And then security would come and escort me from the premises, while Diana would be trying to figure out what I meant by "wet."

I can't wait to see Diana's "Huh?" face.

"The Trouble With Love Is," Kelly Clarkson. I heart "Love Actually."
