I think they were thinking of getting engaged but never did or if they did it didn't last very long.

They broke up in 2001. (yet still were able to work on a professional level during Roswell that ended in 2002.)

Jason found the love of his life with Kadee Strickland when they met on set when they filmed "The Grudge" in Japan in 2004.

Soon after in 2005 and Katherine met her husband Josh after being in his music video "Only You".

I am glad they both found true love.

Personally I never saw them together and that it was so forced the relationship. I am glad they broke up and found their happiness.

Jason just seems very private and laid-back, and Katherine is more out there.

I was actually just reading something today that talked about them being engaged at one point, but I don't know how reliable it is, because it said something about Majandra and Brendan being engaged, too, and I know that never happened.

Yeah I've read in a few places that Jason and Katie were engaged, but I mean who even knows! Did we ever see her with a ring on? Erin, why didn't the family approve?
It's great that they are all (seemingly) happy now with their little families

I heard that Katherine didn't really get along with Jason's brothers or with Jason's Mom.

Also I think Katherine's family wanted her to marry someone who was Mormon and didn't approve Jason being Christian.

I think the Shipping News premiere in 2001 they might of been engaged at that. I remember seeing a ring on her finger.

I caught about half of Life As We Know It on TV today. That was a cute, feel-good movie, and Katherine looked so beautiful in it. The whole time I was watching, I just couldn't stop thinking about how attractive Josh Duhamel is.
