Went to sleep early, now up really early... hoping to get back to sleep soon as I'll be heading back there momentarily.

Must have been awhile ago then, pretty sure my last visit was like 25 years ago... I mean I've worked my current job for almost 19 years so... yeah.

We had a surprise visit, my niece came to visit us early today. It was fun!

That's always nice. I don't get a whole lot of surprise visits. I guess that's kind of good as I'd stress that my place isn't clean enough, but I don't mind them outside of my apartment.

Was tempted to go get some fast food today... but I probably won't end up doing it.

Luckily I was at home because I was supposed to be somewhere else.

I don’t eat much fast food but I wanted to try more.

I eat more than I probably should given I work at one, so food is a lot cheaper than usual.

I watched the Opening Ceremony, are you going to watch the Olympic Games?

No, I have very little interest in the Olympics. Used to actually hate that it would often pre-empt my TV shows, I seem to remember Charmed constantly getting delayed on CTV when the Olympics were on... actually CTV treated that show badly with how they aired it.

I'm the opposite, I haven't watched any tv shows lately so the Olympic games is something that I can watch.

I watched the skater girls, and the commentator even mentioned Avril.

In what context? That she sang at the Olympic Games before or in reference to the Fly video maybe, something else?

Off to sleep early... going to try to start work a little earlier tomorrow as there is a Health & Safety meeting... first one I'll be going to in probably over a year... at least in person anyway. No one covering my position though, did a little extra salad prep today hopign to save myself some time in the morning too.

I'd be listening to her as well if I had to commentate the Olympics.

eh? They aren't usually too bad but it was a complete waste of time... the H&S person asked us to hold the meeting without her, had a couple minute conversation and then they spent like 45 minutes having a manager's meeting where I had to go elsewhere til it was done.
