Good for them! With our school when it closes from snow it's usually because they have to clear all the footpaths around the school, because they are responsible if anyone has an accident.

No snow here, but the high winds overnight caused a lot of roads around here to be blocked due to fallen trees. My husband had to go to work late today.

Still it's all cleared now.

Jade - unfortunately a lot of parents don't seem to want to discipline their children, or teach them to show respect to others.

I don't know how much, I didn't measure it Maybe about 3 inches? I know that's not much in Canadian standards but we need a couple of days to clear the roads as we're not equipped for it, there's usually no need.

I think the problem is that most punishments are not allowed these days as per how society views them and there's very little parents can actually do. I'm not advocating for beatings, obviously, but it's getting totally ridiculous how much children are being let away with.
