Don't know how many of you watched the Oscars last night.

Most of it was crap however "Interstellar" won the award for Best Visual Effects!!!!!!!!!!

Major congrats to them. I'm glad they got at least that one. How could they not have- best VE I've seen in a long time.

I seriously thought Hans Zimmer should have won for best score. I think they were wrong on that one (but then it's rare that I agree with their choices anyways )

I don't usually care much for awards shows but I did watch all of the Oscars last night. Interstellar was really a no-brainer in that category.

I have to say, though, that the musical score for Grand Budapest was 100% deserving. It really set the tone for the movie (which was delightful from beginning to end).

I can't really comment on that only because I never saw that movie (not my taste) though I am familiar with Alexander's work.

Still though I'm biased toward all things Interstellar especially the music. I can't even begin to describe how it gives me chills. And how every time I hear the music or see the movie I'm transported back to those days when I was kid and saw movies about space in a large domed IMAX theater at the space museums I went to.

Finally watched this last week. Overall, it was a very powerful movie. A bit long though.

This is a good movie - the effects are amazing and worth seeing just for that - but I wasn't blown away by the story.

I put off watching this because it looked awful, wish I hadn't bothered. It was so long and boring. There was no atmosphere set and the whole premise was a joke... literally the most overrated film I've seen.

Oh. I didn't think it was that bad. They wasted a good story with the ridiculous explanation at the end, but otherwise I liked it

Anne and Matthew have no on screen chemistry what so ever. I can't believe they're making a second. I much prefer the Martian to this one and they reused Matt and Jessica.
