I saw the movie on Tuesday. I liked it.

Matt Damon was fine in the role, IMO. However his character was a bit predictable.

We did see Interstellar this afternoon. Very long movie - over 2 1/2 hours!

The special effects were amazing and the sound was wicked.
I do wish they'd have eliminated dialogue when the sound was ramped up to the max because I couldn't hear the voices.

It was all very strange and fantastical at the end, and I'm still trying to assimilate that.

I liked it, Ron, but I can't say I loved it. Still, I can see why most people do think it's a great movie.
The visuals alone are worth the price of admission.

When I saw it I felt like I was watching a more modernize spin of "Space Odyssey" Allot reminded me of it, but I found it more of a deeper story line.

I have to admit after the movie was over and my dad and I had a discussion about it, I finally said, "And then 100 years after that a small robot named Wall-E came to rescue them"

I agree the storyline was deeper than in 2001, but I'm not sure it will become a similar Classic of the genre.

I believe I'd have liked it better if the whole section about Mann had been left out.
That may be where it began to go sour for me.

I agree. I don't think the Mann scenes were necessary. It would have just been better if when they opened his pod he were dead.
