That's my favourite episode. I loved everybody's reaction to discovering Mal was married... especially Mal's! Zoe informing the crew, Book with his warnings and Mal's discomfort.

Me too. A Canadian network started airing it after Fox had cancelled. it. I'm not sure if they aired the episodes in the correct order, but they did air all of them.

I'm really glad I didn't watch it when it aired because, like Almost Human, the episodes were aired out of order by Fox.
That really screws with character development and the serialized element than underpins the series.

It's great that the DVD set has the episodes in production, rather than airing, order.

One advantage to finding a show after it's been on for a while is being able to binge watch.

Left to me, I probably would've binged on Firefly, but we're trying to limit ourselves to 2 episodes at a time.
Tonight, we'll watch Jaynestown and Out of Gas.

Enjoy! Jaynestown has some funny moments. The reaction of everybody, especially Jayne, to realize he's considered a hero is just priceless.

I enjoyed Jaynestown a lot - hilarious! .. but Out of Gas was really special because we finally see how the crew of Serenity came together. New favorite!

The Kaylee intro was a big surprise!

I guess at some point it will be explained how and why Zoe and Wash hooked up?

Wasn't that terrific? Who would have thought it of our sweet little Kaylee? Love that Mal hired her.

Maybe in the episode with Neska?

Haven't gotten to an episode with Neska yet, so I'll look forward to it!

We've decided to make Saturday night our Firefly night since Intruders is done. We're rationing 2 episodes at a time.
Still, only 6 left to go and then the movie.

According to Wikipedia, Neska was in both ("The Train Job" and "War Stories"), It must be War Stories where we learn a bit more about Wash & Zoe, if I remember correctly.
