Nope. I think he was gonna be a contestant on Clare’s season, but through the producers talking to him and stuff, they felt he would fit being The Bachelor...

I love the idea of a black bachelor and I am fine with it being someone new, but 1) I dont think he is that attractive? ...idk... and 2) it sucks that Clare just got the shaft???

I would have preferred Mike too. And I agree its obvious why they are doing it now but at least they are doing it.

I just hope they cast more black women as well instead of just the token 4 women (or men) they usually cast...

Does this mean they are skipping Clare?

I don’t think they’re skipping Clare. I think they still plan to film her season, it’s just the question of when? Matt’s season is scheduled to air in January, but who knows when they’ll start filming that season, either...

Yes! I completely agree! While I’m fine with seeing an interracial relationship come out of it, if they’re gonna have a black Bachelor, and make such a big deal out of it, they need to have some more black women for him to choose from.
