When I really think about it, how can someone really be "In Love" with someone so quickly. It may be easy to "love" someone based on chemistry even though it happens quickly especially on these types of shows

I read somewhere where Sean Lowe said that he only spent a cumulative 72 hours with Catherine before proposing.

So, that’s almost basically proposing to her after only 3 days! Not sure if that includes group dates and it’s just basic one on one time, but that is crazy, if you think about it. Obviously, it did work out for Sean, though (I’m not quite sure why he’s been the only one to marry his pick. My personal reasoning is because of their faith...

).

Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with Arie.

I think their faith is part of it. People that are religious tend to work harder at staying together and sometimes don't view divorce as an option. I think thats why my sister and husband are still together..

ANYWAYS i think the whole proposal is RIDICULOUS. But it kinda comes with the territory of the show. I think that you could easily get "engaged" though and just have a long engagement if you aren't sure if you want to get married, which is what most of these people end up doing, which is the right thing. An engagement isn't the same as a marriage I presume? I don't know because I don't read the bible but engagement can easily be called off. Marriage, not so much.

You’re right, Alexa. An engagement is just the next step after dating, before marriage, but there’s no law, or marriage certificate, or anything “committing” you to that person, except the engagement ring, and your faithfulness. That’s why, as much as I love Peter, him being adamant about not proposing because that was marriage was irking me because it wasn’t them getting married right after he proposed. Kaitlyn, JoJo, Ashley have/had long engagements, but I do agree that the pressure to propose/be proposed to at the end is a little ridiculous...

Anyone watch The Bachelor special? Arie seems like he’s going to be a good Bachelor, but the women are gonna be crazy, but what else is new?
