I thought I'd post this in this thread. It's a link to my latest fanfic. It's called Progression. It didn't start out as a G/C fic, but ends on a nice G/C note.

However, if you've never read any of my fic before, beware of a couple things. First, they tend to be really long. Second, since I'm a Forensics student, I tend to not leave out the gory details. It's nothing worse than you'd ever see on the show, but just so you know...

Hey, I'm new! I'd love to be added to the list! And here's a thought: I know everyone bemoans the fact that the team is split up ( and may stay that way) but I think that this could free the way for Cath and Gris, because now there is no longer that whole pesky supervisor/subordinate thing going on! Hmmm... maybe? Well I hope so anyway!!

Hey, I just read Progression! Grissomrules, it was awesome! I love fanfic, but get frustrated cause most writers write all personal, and not enough of the crime stuff. Yours was a great balance of both! And it wasn't too long

Hey, Linn!! This is Carol, aka... too many AKAs to list. I'm happy you finally found this board. There's so many G/C shippers here, but it's nothing compared to how many there are out there, but this board is so hard to find. I'm glad you did and I hope the others do, too.

Oh, I wrote this really long (well, not that long) G/C essay at CSIfiles.com, I should paste it here. Says pretty much why I love G/C. It's so annoying when you're minding your own business, shipping who you wanna ship and people keep questioning that. That's why I love it here so much, we're all friends even if we ship different couples. Nobody messes with nobody.

Be careful with multiple posts, though. Even if the post is huge, just cram is all in one single post, cause the moderators aren't too keen on lots of posts in a row. Or just wait till someone replies .

Great picture essay! I love the one where he's looking down her blouse. Snort. Oh, Grissom. That's another reason why I love them. She makes him sexual. When she's not around, he's so asexual. Suddenly she walks into the room and you're all, "wow, Grissom is sexy all of a sudden!"

I love that look he gets whenever she's around. It's like his eyes get all dark and he's got this devilish smile on his face... gah, sexy! You can practically tell what he's thinking about, and it's not religion.

We need more people to post in this thread, though. 36 fans and we're only on thread #2? No, that's bad.

For friendship - When she shows up at the hospital.

For 'ship - I'm a sucker for chivalry, so I'm gonna say when Eddie grabs Catherine roughly and Grissom comes to the rescue. "Let her go, Ed!" Growl! And then, "I always knew there was something between you two." First of all, I love that when Catherine is in danger, Grissom doesn't seem to think about the consequences of his involvement. He just dives in for her. Cause Eddie could've moped the floor with Grissom, easily, but Grissom never hesitated. Same thing happened in Grissom vs the Volcano. His mind sees Catherine in danger, and he immediately puts his own life at risk to save hers. I find that so shippy.

For sexual tension - peanut butter in Butterflied. Yum! Or the 'how can I help?' scene.

For humor - every scene they had in Jackpot, even if they weren't in the same room. Three wife references and he didn't correct either one of them. I find a lot of Grissom/Catherine scenes funny. They have great comedic timing.
