CSI Miami: "10-7" NEW! TONIGHT! (5/23) SEASON FINALE! Spoiler Warning

Quote:
"While investigating the murder of man hired to make dirty bombs that terrorists intend to set off in Miami, Horatio finds the bloody fingerprint of his brother, Raymond, who he believed to be dead. However, when Raymond's son is kidnapped, he emerges from deep undercover and the estranged brothers must work together to save the boy. Meanwhile, while processing a crime scene, an unknown assailant holds a gun to Calleigh's head and, after a deadly confrontation in her gun lab, she is left doubting that she can continue as a CSI."

Can I just say that CBS's promo department sucks? Cause it sucks.

Oh, WHATEVER! He cheated on you, Yelina! She's just gonna take him back? Ugh. And to think, she gained so many points when she punched Stetler. Back to the submissive pretty little woman role, she goes. Because you see, all women should be quiet and pretty and follow their husbands around despite the atrocities to the sanctity of marriage they commit. In fact, I shouldn't even be writing this. I'm a woman. I'm not allowed near technology.

Whatever. That pissed me off. What the hell? Okay, when she thought she was going to vacation with Horatio she was all willing and smiley and "OmG!!11" But then she sees Ray and is all, "okay, guess I'll go with him now."

Who IS this woman?

The Hagen thing was ****ed up. I knew it was gonna be him, and I knew he was the one who put his gun to her head as soon as that scene aired. But it was nice even though I saw it coming. Chilling. The brain matter on the ceiling? No ammount of Mr. Clean.

Alexx is too pretty. She needs another episode dedicated to her, STAT!

The E/C scenes were sweet. You could tell he didn't really wanna test those guns. Good job by Adam, there. Damn promo department.

And good job by Emily. For the first time all season she's wearing human expressions. I doubt she's gonna quit, cause come on. But hers were the only interesting parts.

TYLER!! But no Valera .

"What time is it?"
"3:45."

Of COURSE! And of course Horatio gets downtown, through traffic, and stops a bomb from exploding... in 15 minutes. I thought we were gonna see his cape flowing in the air on that last scene.

The Eric/Ryan tension continues.

Why was Ryan cheating on Valera? I want an explanation. And of course, the woman double crossed him. That's karma. And she's a bitch.

Season 4 is looking pretty meh. The Calleigh thing is the only thing I'm looking forward to.

All and all I thought this episode was disappointing for a Season Finale. There were a few things that weren't explained IMO. That I don't have time to go in to.

Lazy - ITA!! Regarding the situation with Yelina. I was like huh?? After all her hubby has done she's going to run off into the sunset with him because Horatio pretty much said she should? Like you I was like WHATEVER.

Horatio dismantling the bomb was cheesy to say the least. I think the episode would've been much better had it been done in an hour and a half or 2 hours. It just seemed too rushed IMO.

I've been losing interest in CSI Miami all season, mostly because I loathe Horatio. I hate how he knows everything. You never see him figuring out a case, or the wheels in his head turning. He just knows stuff. He's never wrong and he always saves the day. It's so annoying to watch. I'm constantly screaming at the tv, "yeah right, Horatio!" Grr

Callie did nothing for me last night. I couldn't have cared less about her character. I felt no emotion from her whatsoever.

Eric, Ryan, Alexx and Yelina make the show worth watching though. But for a season finale it was kind of blah, but anything that has Horatio saving the day will be, I suppose.

ITA with you -= LazyDays =-! How could Yelina just take Raymond back so willingly?!? He had a child with someone else for God's sake! Horatio actually looked upset in the end when Yelina got on the plane with Raymond. It kinda makes you feel bad for him.

I agree, it was way too rushed.

Calliegh isn't really leaving, is she? I mean, if Emily Proctor was leaving the show wouldn't there be rumors about it going around by now?

Hagen's dead! Ok, so that was mean, but I never really liked the guy. He kinda creeped me out at times too....

I like the tension between the two, I think it adds to the show.

Eric and Calleigh worked together! Their scenes were cute.

Overall, the episode was not what I expected. But then again, this season has been a dissappointment, IMO.

C I was going to say something about H and his cape. I think it was "I'm surprised he didn't offerr to fly Yelina, Ray and Ray jr. down, it would've saved them some money". and why hasn't Ryan been fired??? *headslap*

I liked this episode, althought it isn`t the best one as I have seen.

well, you know I watched this with Sasha and I reacted the same way as you did but Sasha didn`t agree.
She thougt Yelina reacted as a mother at that moment, considering Ray jr was happy to see his dad and all.
I guess we have to wait and see what happens next season.

yay for that and I hope it continues for a long time

So are they just going to get rid of everyone and leave Horatio and his honking big ego? I do like Miami , and the original CSI. (NY is the only one I can't get into). When I talk about it with others , it's usually everyone hates the David Caruso show. Let someone else in on the action please. The diffusing the bomb was way OTT. I don't know what to think about the episode in general.
I didn't like the whole Hagen thing. Go off yourself outside the lab you freak. Calleigh is one of my favorite characters. As for Raymond / Yelina . I don't think she had a choice. When your kids dead father shows up and is he thrilled to just see him alive , she had to go. Not a satisfying end to a season the way CSI was. /whine

I think I'm going to agree with Sasha on this one, and I'm going to add this. She was still in shock; she was still reeling from the fact that Ray is still alive and the feeling of betrayal (I guess) that she felt after the way Horatio got her there. She was probably numb over this. Funny how most of us are going on about Yelina.

What? Does the EPB work for all networks or did they steal the idea of Evl Promo Bastard from the WB?

It was an okay. I really wanted to see more Ray, I mean for cripes sakes, they've been building it up and then what a total of like, 5 minutes? Ugh. So pissy right now.

As for the cheating thing. Imagine you're husband was assumed dead and then 10 years later he comes back from the dead. Would the first thought be "YOU BASTARD! YOU CHEATED ON ME!" I don't think so. You'd be so taken a back, and be in shock and crying and be like "ohmigawd!"

Nooooooo. Calleigh cannot simply leave! I hope it's a break, because I love the show with her in it. She's my inspiration for ballistics!

Poor Ryan, he can never get a break. Eric needs to get over himself. Ryan had nothing to do with Speedle's death, Speedle did. That boy needs a smack on the head.

Hagen. Oh Hagen, why did you have to do that? I won't get to see your sexiness anymore. Yes, I liked Hagen. If he only knew that Ray was alive. My gosh Horatio should have told him. If he had, maybe he wouldn't have killed himself, for feeling like he's worthless like everyone treats him like crap. If he only really knew the reasoning for all the secrecy. I mean, Ray was Hagen's partner.

Overall: 6 out of 10 stars.

i really didn't like the way Hagen's death played out. it would have made more sense for Hagen to assault Calleigh and then kill himself in a fit a rage as an end result. i wouldn't want to see Calleigh hurt, but come on...the way it led up to his death was kinda lame. it almost boiled his reason for suicide down to him feeling like he couldn't be trusted because he was a partner of a "dirty cop", then not being able to take Calleigh's latest rejection. the TPTB should have at least thrown some light on why he and Calleigh were no longer together (like they ever showed enough of the relationship to begin with), you would probably feel more for Hagen and his reasoning to end his life. they could of had at least have Hagen tell Calleigh why he was in the state of mind he was in. she turns him down, so he kills himself? please. and i'm sure that there are worst things than being known as a partner to a dirty cop. it was hinted a while back on the episode "Money Plane" that Hagen had mental problems, but why didn't TPTB explain this some more in detail?

Hopefully they will resolve some of this and not leave it hanging.I think more will come out about Hagen in the future. He was so fixated on the dirty cop thing it makes me think he was the one with his hands dirty. Especially given the gun to the head and stealing the evidence to begin with. How many other things did he do ? Maybe the pile was too overwhelming and that led up to him commiting suicide, and not just the few things we've been shown. If H had told him Ray was alive given his state of mind , no telling what he would have done.

It never even occured to me that Calleigh was leaving when she took her nameplate down. I hope there is no way she will be leaving for real or for a long time.

I like Ryan too, maybe better than Speedle. He still works like a cop instead of a CSI and I think that rankles on Eric since that's the antithesis of Speedle. Except for that unfortunate flirting with the reporter thing that is . I could never get over Speed being the empire records guy. Still the most tragic death scene on TV for a while. Did he(Rory Cochrane) not leave to do movies again or something ? I haven't seen anything.

The finale was good. I'm glad Ray got another chance to be with his family. I liked how the whole episode played out. I felt sorry for Calliegh. I didn't even notice that she took her nameplate at the end. Wonder what that means. Hopefully she will just be taking a break. She is one of my favorite characters.
