CSI - CSI: "Fur and Loathing" 1/29 -spoiler warning (aired10/30)

A car, an 18-wheeler, and a lonely stretch of highway all turn into a disaster. A women dodges an animal running into her path, leading her smack into the truck. However, the animal is very unusual: it's a man - who has been shot - but is dressed in a full length racoon costume. Grissom and Catherine find themselves led to the world of 'furries'and 'plushies' - people who dress up as animals. Also, a convenience-store employee is found shot to death in an industrial freezer.

Lame episode imo, and I had such high hopes. I've been intrigued by the "furries and plushies" ever since MTV did an expose on them a couple years ago.

But it did have a fabulous line...see sig.

Yeah, I have to agree with you Auburn. I really didn't like this episode either.

Nicky was the only good thing.

this has got to be the weirdest ep yet. grissom's smirks all through the show was just hilarious. nick and sara's case-boring!! but i really think nick/george looks dam good, but jorja's hair looked like she put her hair through a garbage disposal. not enough warrick and greg, and get rid of hodges for all i care. i really don't see the use of him. and brass going down the hall with blue kitty was a hoot. i just thought "well, at least she's got her underwear on right!"

But hands down to Greg for the best line "Thats what you get for eating bad... [img]smilies/cat.gif[/img] [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

I liked tonight's episode. I am not going to chalk it up on my favourite list yet though. Though there were lots of quite good lines in it. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Greg... gotta love Greg. That's what you get for eating...

Definitely a weird episode, but strangely enjoyable...

My husband kept saying how 'out there' it was, but watched nonetheless...

I'd never heard of furries and plushies (I admit it!) so I guess I'll chalk this up to a learning experience.

I think Gris and Cath in the morgue was a hilarious scene, and Greg's comment when he came in with the results..

Greg has the best line all episode! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] The look Grissom gave him was hilarious.

I thought it was neat how the blood (or whatever was in the syringe) turned into hard pellet looking things when Nick squirted it into the thing in 22 below or whatever. I guess it makes sense why the one guy didn't get killed (he was the cousin of the shooter).

It was a bizarre ep. I don't think it was stupid. But, like I said to my brother: "The sad thing is, this kind of stuff really happens somewhere." [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] Not that I had ever heard of it happening, but I just figured. You know the song "People Are Strange". [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

My brother kept saying how those "plushie and fury" people needed help. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

It was a perfect ep for Halloween though. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I liked the episode... I thought the exploration of the PAFs was entertaining and educational. I love to learn about other people's sexual interested. As Grissom pointed out (quoting Freud) "The only abnormal sex is no sex at all." I must admit I had heard of PAFs before, but then again I run with a pretty sexually adventurous crowd. And I also know many PAFs don't engage in sexual activity as part of their PAF fun but merely chose to interact socially as animals.

Overall... there were some great G/C moments (even if I did have to miss my GSR moments to get them). Cat and Gil have this great working relationship and friendship which is enjoyable to watch. Could have used a little more Warrick, but since IE which should aired 2 weeks ago was very Warrick-centered I understand why he wasn't in much last night.

And as an aside... Greg's line was FABULOUS!!! I was literally rolling on the floor.
