There's a moment between Willow and HyenaXander in "The Pack" that I never think about, but always remember fondly when I rewatch it.

HyenaXander: Yeah, Buffy's so selfless. Always thinking of us. Well, if I'm so dangerous, how come she left you alone with me?
Willow: I told her to.
HyenaXander: Why?
Willow: 'Cause I know you better than she does, and I wanted to be here to see if... you were still you.
HyenaXander: You know I am. Look at me.
Willow: (moves closer, whispers) Xander...

He makes a grab for her through the book return slot in the cage, but
she jerks back in time.

Willow: Now I know.

I love that scene. It's the first time where I noticed how strong of a character Willow was.

I also do love how Willow is the one ScruffyXander runs to in "The Replacement" when he needs help.

ScruffyXander: Don't be sacred, Will. It's me, Xander. And I can prove it.
Willow: Um... okay.

I love AH's casual delivery of "Um... okay". I wish Xander/Willow scenes weren't so limited to the early seasons and that we could have gotten more between later on.

I love that Willow knew it wasn't really him, & she barely needed to talk to him to know!

I agree. Early on, that was a sign that Willow definitely had strength in her character

That scene in The Replacement is one of my favourites, Xander knew that Willow was the one who knew him best and wouldn't hesitate to believe him. And of course, the Snoopy Dance.

Yeah, they had a long history - they had grown up together, I don't think anyone could ever take that history away from them

Does anyone else wish that Xander and Tara could have shared more scenes with each other? I mean, they were two of the most (arguably the two most) important people in Willow's life. I would have liked to see how they related to one another. We got scenes with Xander and Oz, and Willow with Anya and Cordelia.

Never really thought about it, but you're right, I would have loved to see them form more of a friendship

I've probably said it before, but I think sometimes they just had too many characters....we should have had more spinoffs!
