I couldn't see them getting another chance, I think she had forgiven him at that point, but I don't think she'd want to risk him hurting her again

I love them together but I really didn’t feel like he deserved a second chance.

I’m still mad at him today for ruining what he had there

Going off canon, yeah. Had Cordelia stayed around I mahbcould have been persuaded. Xander definitely won a lot of points by buying her dress and stuff towards the end, though

I think buying an expensive dress that exceeds your limit of cash would make up a meaningless fling with another woman who is in a relationship with someone else. It isn't like Xander and Willow held hands after they cheated.

Same - I think that with time I could have brought them getting back together, but definitely not at that point, it was all still too raw.

If she had stayed & they had become friends, then a few years later feelings had sparked up again, I definitely think they could have made it work
