That's probably the biggest different. It just feels like a darker show.

Even season 1-early s3, when the crew went through dark times, it was together.
So this season did have less heart, and pretty much stayed like that throughout the whole season because of how damaged the crew kept getting.

Horrible Cordy storyline made things worst.

Guess the writers were shipping them.

Yeah, even though things got better in s5, the gang never were how were before, too much had happened

I think that would have just broken her completely at that point, it would have taken her a long, long time for hre to recover

Yeah and I think that's why every time I re-watch this show, I never can get pass the middle of Season 3 during my re-watches.

I just always give up and go to something else.

Gunn and Fred want to see what's going on with Angel.

Aww the crew feeling depressed together.

Usually I like angst but this Cordy angst wasn't entertaining or even suspenseful for me to watch. lol

I was literally thinking, "can this storyline hurry it up?"

Yeah it was... I can't watch another episode of season 4 today.

It's not that I don't have time, I just can't.

It really just bored me and upset me. lol Now I know why my Season 4 DVD boxset remains unoppened.

That Fred/Gunn emotional scene was the best thing about the whole episode.
We can re-watch and Fred/Gunn episode from an earlier season if you want.
