Honestly, I agree. I love the powerful feminist statement of Chosen, but I often wish The Gift had been the series finale, it was so amazingly done in every aspect.

And it would have just seemed very fitting for the series to end there, with Buffy realising the truth meaning of death being her gift, and selflessly sacrificing herself to save the world. The Gift brought the show full circle.

 As much as a I love a few moments from S6/S7, I don't feel there was ever enough moments in both to really justify the show not ending at S5.__________________

S6 and S7 had their share of negatives, but still, at least they weren't totally unwatchable like S4 of Angel. They get points for that.
