It still doesn't annoy me as much as Buffy saying 'we never found a body' when she was worried that maybe Spike & Dru weren't dead in season 2

It did. They laid a good foundation in this ep when they explain how long they were together & that she was the one that sired him

I'm sure they were as shocked as well. lol And they did turn a lot of things around for season 2 which made the show great so happy that they were giving a season 2.
