I don't think any one person holds a friendship group together, it's something that they all have to do. Some characters come & go of course, but Buffy, Xander & Willow are the core

Oh I forgot: They were referring to a specific episode in Season 7 and they said the group falls apart when Xander doesn`t function like then when he lost his eye.
So yeah I also think that not only Xander holds them all together they all hold each other togther. __________________

I agree, there were different times where different characters would pull away & the others would have to pull them back, but it was about all of them
