That little smile in YW right before she kissed him was From what I remember, one of the few times he smiled at all in season 5...makes sense, with his light being gone AKA Cordelia.

Yeah, C/A did often seem like a married couple. Part of it was the maturity of their relationship.

That may be why I like them better than Bangel long term, I am not really into the high school lovers thing, even when I was a teenager I prefered the more adult relationships that came after. Bangel's story for me was good for its run seasons 1-3, but I hated when they would dig it up on either show after. People typicall put way more value on high school romances and "first loves" in media than I do.

In a lasting relationship, a parter who can make me laugh and be my companion is crucial, I see more of that with Cangel.

I know many C/A fans feel the same way.

I'd personally want to start re-writing it after Double or Nothing. I'd unpack why Cordy was hiding from her feelings for Angel by being with Groo, would also allow Cordy to grieve losing baby Connor as she was practically his mother and she lost her baby too (and have her confront Wesley about it), write her finally accepting her feelings for Angel completely differently, and then give adult Connor the healing from trauma story-line that he deserved instead of making him a frustrating one note character.,
