Too bad that Willow didn't make much of an appearance on the show. We needed more Angel/Willow scenes. They are the Buffyverse version of Robin/Marshall.

It was probably the best choice though. I mean Buffy and Angel still have a connection, and he wanted to have Buffy to have a little bit of normalcy in her life. With Xander, he would probably be tempted to cheat on Anya with Cordy.
