Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered

It's Valentine's Day, but Cordelia and Xander's romance has hit a bad patch, since Cordelia is losing status as Head Bitchqueen of Sunnydale High. Desperate to remain popular, she dumps Xander, even though she still loves him. Xander spies Amy Madison use magic to avoid doing homework, so he blackmails her into casting a love spell on Cordelia, so he can dump her to make her feel as bad as he does. However, the spell backfires, and every woman in Sunnydale except Cordelia falls madly in love with Xander — and we do mean madly. Buffy, Joyce, Willow, Jenny, Drusilla and every other woman, including Amy herself, fight amongst themselves for Xander's attention, with Amy turning Buffy into a rat to eliminate some of the competition. Xander runs away to Buffy's house, and is seconds away from being killed by the love-crazed horde, when Giles finally manages to break the spell. Cordelia decides Xander is worth putting up with the catcalls from the rest of the school, and they get back together.

I love this episode, I really do. I always liked Xander/Cordelia, and this was their best episode. I loved Cordelia sneaking behind her locker door to take off the necklace when Xander wanted it back. Ms. Calendar, Amy and Buffy fighting over Xander was a hoot; Willow sneaking into Xander's bed was both funny and a little sad, considering their history; and of course, there was Drusilla rescuing Xander from Angelus because she loved him. The absolute best, though, was the ending. Xander does this horrible, misguided spell that almost leads to total disaster, yet Cordelia sees it as a good thing because it was all about her. It was such a perfectly Cordelia thing for her to do that I'll always enjoy watching it.

BBB is my favorite Xander related episode. ( even if he only has er.. two or so. )

Jen - Joyce/Xander is very odd. And I love the part with Buffy and Oz.

Buffy: You think you can get me some clothes?
Oz: Yes I can. Just uh.. don't go anywhere.
Buffy: Really not an issue.

I loved all the funny Xander pairings, although J/X was a bit disturbing.

Joyce/Xander is creepy, particularly considering Xander is quite creepy enough already just by himself.
Great moment and great Dru scene. Word!
I like it too. Oz was waaay too good for Willow and he'd have been good for Buffy.
She was totally sickmaking in Smashed. But I like what she did to Willow in The Killer in Me, served Willow right. And she right about Willow being weak.
