Well, that was why he was so endearing. He was a good guy who had bad boy tendencies. But not, like, evil-bad (a la Spike) just good-guy bad. Drinking, smoking, gambling, flirting, running away from trouble instead of toward it... not giving money to the homeless.

However, when his friends really needed him. He was there.
