This is a Connor Darla trubute thread. I thought Darlas love for her son was beautiful and I felt her relationship to him was never fully appreciated. So this thread is a tribute to them.

I really enjoyed Darla's relationship with Conner. While they never relly met, I found it sweet that she actually loved the baby inside her, dispite the fact that she hadno soul. I loved that she seemed to talk to Conner when they were in the car and that she asked Angel to make sure she didn't harm Conner when he was born. Plus, if that was the real Darla that appeared to teen Conner, I just loved everything she said. I just love Darla period.

One of my favorite scenes in this show is when she stakes herself for Connor. I love that moment and it was very moving for me. Also loved the scene when she and Angel were talking on the roof and she said how the soul is being shared with her and how much she loved Connor.

Oh man all this talk about Darla and Connor make's me wanna shed a tear for both of them it is just so cute how Darla said she loves her son I mean who would've thought Darla, huh!anyway I liked the part when Darla come's back from limbo or something as a spirit and tells Connor what he is doing is wrong man who thought that she'll teach Connor right from wrong when she is dead!(no offense). I nearly cried when Darla staked herself for Connor. That was just amazing..I nearly forgot she was a soulless "thing" that carried destruction and death for 400 years. I gained a new respect for her, and Julie Benz's acting [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Me too! I really hated Darla until season 2 right before she was made a vampire again. During those s2 eps we got to see another side of Darla. I love to see Darla's softer side and see her with a soul. When she became a vampire again I disliked her. But when she came back in s3 with Connor and started to share a soul with him, I felt for her. I love Darla and Julie's portayal of her when she is more 3 dimensional.

Ooh great thread!! I love Darla in general, but I cried like a baby in the episode "Lullaby".
Especially this part:
"I won't be able to love it...I won't even be able to remember that I loved it."

Julie's acting was *SOO* good in that episode.

ITA. Julie's acting during season 2 was wonderful. Mostly when she was freaking out about having a baby. And that line makes me weepy everytime I see it. Plus, she staked herself for him and then came back to tell him to do better. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] I just love Darla.

I didn't really like Darla either until I saw her sacrificing her life for Connor. That made me fall in love with her character. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

And of course, I love Connor. I really hope he'll see Darla again in a vision or something and they can reconcile. That would be neat. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

That scene was heart breaking. I loved it. I wish he had listened to her. And I loved it how it was her face there right before he swung the knife-or whatever it was.

Yeah. Didn't Cordelia kill the virgin, though? He dragged her across the floor but Cordelia killed her. Atleast that's how I remember it.
