I didn't think she was evil either, she should have been honest sooner, but I don't think she ever had bad intentions

I understand why she wasn't, she truly didn't know the FULL story of the soul yet....

I agree, I think that when we met her uncle it was pretty clear that she'd only heard the worst parts of the story
