Makes you remember a lot of the different sides to her & what more the writers could have explored, especially with how she was sent to Sunnydale to spy on Angel.

Jenny really did get treated so terrible when the truth came out about her involvement in the Angelus thing...

She did, we never really got to hear her side of the story!

^ We didn't! and I loved when I see some reaction videos to Buffy now, and someone was totally team Jenny when she was getting treated bad by Buffy...
I was team Jenny as I got older... and I understood the story... I was like... how is Jenny the bad one here? lol |

Me too, when you think about things from her side, she was really just trying to help all along. She may have been misguided at first, but she fought harder to protect Buffy from what was going to happen more than anyone knew!

^ You are right and Angel aka Angelus had a longer past doing bad than good... so eventually his past was going to catch up on him... and I truly doubt that Jenny would have loved for Angelus to return... if anything, if she knew what would happened she probably would've slyly warned someone.

Yeah, she was trying to stop Angelus from returning, that's why she was kinda trying to keep Buffy & Angel apart, I guess she just didn't feel like she could come right out & tell anyone at that point what would happen...

^ I can see how she felt she was in a tough situation.

Yeah, & she was conflicted because her priorties changed. When she first went there, she was just supposed to watch what was going on, but as she understood everything that was going on, she wanted to actually stop anything bad from happening & her loyalties were divided... you don't just instantly figure out the right thing to do in a situation like that

I wonder if that was the plan for Jenny to begin with, for her to be the watcher/spy... or was that something created in season 2.

I think the writers came up with that in s2, it seemed to me that they were going to do more with her as a witch in s1 (or they'd explain what a techno-pagan is), but they're plans changed...

That probably was a stupid question to ask since I don't even think they assumed Buffy/Angel would be such a hit so I doubt they had the season 2 plotline laid out. They also were a midseason show so they didn't know how successful the series would ultimately become so clearly Jenny characters was one of the new directions when they got picked up for season 2.

Yeah, I don't think they had planned ahead much during season 1 either

^ Yep, I am sure they were happily surprised when it was renewed and they really stepped their game up for season 2.
