Mama Salvatore is back and she’ll have a major role to play on Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries.”

Annie Wersching will return to Mystic Falls for a major recurring arc on The CW’s vampire drama, TheWrap has learned.

so happy for her to getting a regular gig on TV. Plus I hear she will return to Castle

Since she is on VD , she won't be back on BOSCH season 2 on Amazon .. I may have to watch TVD to see my Annie again

Which is my favorite show since Annie got naked on it

too bad Vampire diaries has so any seasons ,to many for me to catch up on. Hey it took me like 3 months to watch all the Battlestar Galactica seasons .
Happy that annie is regular ,she tweets all the time about the show and instagram ..

I will see her in at least one ep of BOSCh season 2 (AMAZON) hey that is where I saw her naked .. yes i have the photos and video files

You really don't need to catch up on the series though.

Just start watching from Season 7 if you want.

No big deal. It's not like Vampire Diaries is a 24/Prison Break type series.

Well even 24 can act as a standalone season at a push... Prison Break, though, absolutely needs to be watched in sequence...

I dunno... for me 24 is one of those series I'd recommend watching from the start.
Like if someone watched Season 2 before Season 1, they'll know about the Nina Myers betrayal.

AND that's one of the best twist in television history.

I think the only standalone season after season 1 is probably Season 4, I'm not sure if Nina Myers is mentioned that season.

The last two seasons can probably be standalone as well... Season 7 is not because Tony is back and you gotta understand his story to understand how he got to the place he ended up being in.

In general, I'd definitely say it's best to watch 24 from the start even more then Prison Break... although I'd recommend watching both from the beginning.

To stay on topic, for Renee character it's probably cool to watch her from Season 7 to see her change into Season 8.
