After seeing the promo for 1.13, I cannot wait to watch it. The "you're sounding like a lawyer" "I am a lawyer" dialogue between Peter and Alicia is excellent -- it tells so much about their current relationship with as little words as possible. And yes, the new client looks quite fun and interesting. I'm looking forward to meeting him.

I think after she knew Peter was being honest about the women (the kiss we saw) I think she is closer to an answer than before

I wouldn't find a no answer surprising or that big of a deal longterm. If he really wants her he could keep fighting to change her mind. She's too involved in his trial (I can't see her abandoning the father of her kids to jail) to leave right now anyway. Finding out how far he really has to go might do him/them some good. He's been talking a little too much assumed 'we' lately for me. I think her answer will be something more along the lines of "I'm working on it" though.

I'm more curious about Peter's "you're sounding like a lawyer" line. He doesn't sound happy when he says it and she sounds defensive with her answer. Maybe he isn't happy about her defending a murderer? He wasn't happy when he first found out she was defending the alleged cop killer. He had to be brought around by talking about the advantages for him of Childs losing.

I don't think she will say no, but he hurt her a lot. And they can't work on their relationship when he is in prison.

I agree, it's not a happy you sound like a lawyer, but more a surprised one. I don't know. You could take it totally out of context in this promo. So I am not going to worry about it.

Usually Peter has three slots in the episode (when his storyline is significant), one is in court (with Amber I suppose), the second is with Glenn (maybe the first in the episode) and the third should be with Alicia in the usual courthouse meeting room. I have a feeling that the "lawyer" dialog and Peter's question are in the same scene and they are talking about his trial.
And her answer won't be "no" but something meaningful and apparently ambiguous. You have to carry on for onother 11 episodes

At the end it includes a little more of the Peter scene: he asks if she loves him, she says Peter and looks down, he says do you ever want to be together again and she looks down again then it cuts off.
