Yeah it's a creepy episode. It was apparently also very hard to shoot because the conditions didn't make it ideal and the crew was stranded for a while due to roads being cut off by trees. It was the second and last episode directed by Joe Napolitano who walked off set after an argument with a crew member and refused to come back Oh and the cute ranger is played by Duchovny's boyhood friend Jason Beghe. He also appears in the first Xfiles movie later in a cameo part. He most recently made the news as an ex-member of the Church of Scientology exposing some of the cult's methods. Quote:
How about The Erlenmeyer Flask?? What an awesome episode! It really is the kickoff to the mythology arcs for me. The plot is so intense, it feels like it's much longer than the other episodes! The direction was really great too. That shot when Mulder enters Zeus Storage It's the first episode directed by RW Goodwin, the show's executive producer (whose lovely wife, Sheila Larken, is seen as Scully's Mom, Margaret in the show) and he did a great job. The way it ends, mirroring the pilot, Deep Throat's fate, the lines ("Ok, Mulder but I'm warning you, if this is monkey pee, you're on your own" ) and the general atmosphere make it a classic. Gillian starts to look pregnant at that point, I think but it's nothing compared to S2 Quote:

Oh how I loved the references in that episode. The HAL thing at the end made me spill my drink __________________

I think she brought a lot to many crucial scenes throughout the show and they were really lucky. Quote:

BREAKING BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The last scene, holy crap! I know Bryan Cranston won a thousand Emmys but man I would give it to him again. Walt is scaring the hell out of me in this episode. MAGNETS! I really liked Political Animals. It wasn't as good as I hoped it would be but very entertaining. The Newsroom the last few minutes and I love Mac, Jim, Will, Neal and Sloan so much! And Charlie too! |

This week's episode was pure genius. I'd like to know what the conservatives who attack the show incessantly because it's "liberal propaganda led by a supposedly conservative character" will do with the fact that they slapped Obama around for his weak-ass position on guns, while slapping the Reps around for lying about it The end of the episode gave me chills! Even Don stepped up! Wow. Can someone tell me what's wrong with Mama's Boy though??! Is he pissed because he was the one making the news before with his ratings and now Will is listening to Mac instead? Or is he just pissed that he's being ignored? Again, loved the references. Especially the Jersey Desperate Housewives thing and the Sloane/Will exchange about Annie Get Your Gun v. Oklahoma Annie and on that note, I was happy that they developed her character a bit. It's interesting to see her interact with others and I was afraid they'd just stick with the brainy hottie from a distance thing. Quote:

I like The Newsroom, but still, there's something I hate about it. The Sorkin part I don't like... also "mission to civilize"??
I finally met one of the others Bartlet daughters! and why is Rob Lowe still in this show? Sam's storyline could be so great in Somebody's Going to... if it wasn't for Lowe |

Soo, I watched Duane Barry/Ascension and One Breath Today And Trinity's got to be the worst episode so far, but those 3 were brilliant!! I'm watching, they really made a good use of Gillian's pregnancy. Firewalker now, hello Bradley Whitford! __________________
