After my research during the weekend I found Lacuna Coil.
And those remind me of some old favourite of mine!

Powerful music!

I think this is enough for now!

I have a lot to post but I can't get to my playlists right now so I'll just post an oldie again.
Aww... you can never go wrong with that one!

Thanks for the beautiful music
Here is my current favorite, just can't stop listening to it.
For some reason I can't play it! Can you check the link please?!

Last week I went to see my favourite Polish band, Lao Che and now I'm in a mood for their music. A few years ago they recorded an excellent album dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, which is our big national trauma. I thought I wouldn't be able to share it with you because of the lack of translation, but then I found a really good Polish -English translation of the lyrics at their site, so I want to share a few songs with you I really love what they did with the story, they incorporated real speeches, poetry and songs from the war period and the mood is just amazing! The translation is Here
There is the entire album uploaded to yt with English subs, but the official translation is much better.

The first three songs:

And the fith one (probably my favourite)

Thanks for the explanation and the link to the translated lyrics!

So you'll have to excuse the arrangement and Afro Princess Leia hairdo and focus on the voice
We can excuse the hairdo because of her voice!

You can never go wrong with the classics
Especially Hendrix and Fleetwood

King Crimson is new to me but that's what I love about this thread: the opportunity to catch on to great music you had missed somehow!

And of course I wanted to post Jennifer Batten's Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsakov but there is not one decent version on YT so I guess I'll have to go with this one even though the sound is not great since it's basically filmed with a phone

Damn, this thread is making my firefox crash I need to find a better solution. And here's another one in another genre entirely by Ray Lamontagne.

You have the video clip... just awesome!

When I think of guitars, one name that pops into my head is Wes Montgomery and his When I look Into Your Eyes

How about literal classics ??

And jumping to Vivaldi ...

Palchelbel - I found this while I was looking for the best version.... and ... surprise!

Rodrigo

And taking the chance to disclosure a musical secret.... (Plus I have a think for Elgar, and french horns) I am not British, but I don't care, cause I still hope that one day I can attend the Last Night Of The Proms! and experience something like this I can't help admiring and envy those Brits in that moment

so thanks again!
Semia, I'm glad you found out how to post the videos you like! And we don't have voices like Billie Holyday and Dinah Washington anymore Thanks for bringing them back

But you’ll never know them if you mute the song! I will put a biohazard sign next time

He was fast, wasn't he?

It is a pity that Mike Bloomfield is not well recognized, he was an outstanding guitarist imo. Maybe the lyrics of the song I posted are not excellent, but focus on the music. I believe that sometimes music is more important than lyrics, for example in the Al Kooper song I posted the lyrics were meh but the music

Excellent!

YT can make excellent guitarist from watching the videos and practice!

Excellent choices! They made me think of my brother

My share from the 80s (clothes and telephones too). Very inspiring for a thematic costume party

From nowadays Alondra Bentley, a very young Spanish singer

This one is home-made

A very different version of Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
